MPD and DC Fire and EMS helped a woman celebrate her monumental birthday with a first responders parade.

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - A local woman turned 102 years young and thanks to D.C. first responders celebrated in style.

MPD and D.C. Fire and EMS helped Virginia Johnson celebrate a monumental birthday with a first responder parade complete with sirens, signs, lights and posters!

In a video shared to Instagram, you can hear Mrs. Johnson's excitement as she screams and waves with joy from the front porch of her home as first responders drive down her neighborhood street.

Officers can be heard saying 'happy birthday' throughout the minute-long clip.

This includes a woman who has totally transformed her tired 1980s style bathroom into a chic modern space using bargains from The Range and B&M. Hayley Gore, from Norwich, wowed Facebook users with her handiwork after sharing before and pictures of the home project. The DIY fan, who works as a team manager at a food store, wrote: "1980s style bathroom, I hated it. "Could not afford a new one, but I've modernised it. "I hated people going in my bathroom, now I will be happy for them to." As well as turning to The Range and B&M, she also made affordable purchases from Asda and B&Q.
